Past Summer Camps!
We will be working with several media to create an Enchanted Forest Scene to put on display or to play with. There will be several little projects that will make up the scene that your kiddo designs from their own mind and imagination!
I will teach collage techniques, acrylic paint layering, several different methods for pattern making of images, and sealing the pieces!
Day 1: A Felt Foundation Designing and selecting the elements of the enchanted forest on the foundation - sewing skills, cutting skills, design skills and starting a fun fantasy project. Pattern making and cutting skills involved.
Day 2: Accessories for the forest: Designing, gluing, sewing and creating props such as mushrooms, trees, mountains and more!
Day 3: Creatures in the Enchanted Forest What characters and creatures lurk in this Enchanted forest?! They will create these from scratch and imagination!
Day 4. A structure. Is it a fairy house, a beehive or a castle?
Day 5. Finishing up details, painting/sewing/creating!
July 8-12 9:30 - 12:30
We will be working with several media to create 3 separate one of a kind pieces. There will be two large projects that we will work on most of the duration of the camp and we will have a third smaller piece. I will teach collage techniques, acrylic paint layering, several different methods for pattern making of images, sealing the piece, and if there is time perhaps even framing!
We will start our days off together with a mindful circle, some movement, yoga and learning to hear and follow intuition.
Day 1: Magazine collage mixed media piece on wood sanding and prepping the surface, searching magazines and print materials and making selections.
Day 2: Gluing, enhancing and sealing our piece.
Day 3: Mixed media collage with cardboard silhouette on wood Prepping the background for our second mixed media piece. (After Touch ups on the first piece)
Day 4. Pattern making and cutting out chosen silhouette
Day 5. Small mixed media Fabric and paint on wood! The beauty of mixed media art is that there are so many techniques!
July 22-26 9:30 - 12:30
We will be working with several media techniques to create one of a kind wearable art pieces.
I will teach collage techniques, acrylic paint layering, several different methods for pattern making of images, sealing the piece, and if there is time perhaps even framing!
Day 1: Masquerade Hand made masks designed by collage and embellishments
Day 2: Bags
Create a one of a kind bag from Cardboard and other recycled materials!
Day 3: Bags Continued -
Embellish, paint, design!
Day 4. Hats: Create a one of a kind mini top hat or party hat!
Day 5. Jewelry
This is such a blast and many tools, techniques and even blings will be available for creating a truly custom and one of a kind jewelry piece.
Parents please plan to attend a FASHION SHOW on the last day at 12:30 - at the end of the session.
