Yoga + Art Summer Camp: ENCHANTED FOREST

July 8-12

Youth Yoga and Art Camps center your child's imagination and unique expression through yoga, literature and art.

Enchanted Forest uses a unique process of creation while using skills that will translate into other life skills. Each session kids learns and refines new techniques, learn to follow inspiration, commit to a project, fix their mess ups, practice fine and gross motor skills and use art and yoga as a mindfulness tool and a way to express them selves.

Enchanted Forest Camp
Ages 6-12

$185 for 5 sessions (includes the cost of materials)

The beauty of mixed media art is that there are so many techniques!

We will be working with several media to create an Enchanted Forest Scene to put on display or to play with. There will be several little projects that will make up the scene that your kiddo designs from their own mind and imagination!

I will teach collage techniques, acrylic paint layering, several different methods for pattern making of images, and sealing the pieces!

Day 1: A Felt Foundation
Designing and selecting the elements of the enchanted forest on the foundation - sewing skills, cutting skills, design skills and starting a fun fantasy project. Pattern making and cutting skills involves.

Day 2: Accessories for the forest

Designing, gluing, sewing and creating props such as mushrooms, trees, mountains and more!

Day 3: Creatures in the Enchanted Forest
What characters and creatures lurk in this Enchanted forest?! They will create these from scratch and imagination!

Day 4. A structure.

Is it a fairy house, a beehive or a castle?

Day 5. Finishing up details, painting/sewing/creating!

The fine print:
**Please pack your child a (nut free and mess free) snack for class and bring a water bottle.
**Payment is due prior to camp to reserve your spot.
**There are no class refunds, unless we cancel for low attendance
**If I need to cancel for illness or emergency we will tack on the extra class at the end of the session or reschedule.
**Welcome to stay with your child for a bit or drop off but please be available for a phone call or leave an emergency contact just in case.
