200 HR Yoga Teacher Training

Sculpted Lotus Yoga is based on the belief that we can carve out and shape our lives in whatever manner we choose. We design our life as though it were a piece of art, fluid, dynamic, shifting and changing like a sculpture that is never quite completed. Completion is not the goal. The aim is to fall in love with the process of refinement while learning and growing, therefore commitment to expansion and becoming lifelong students is essential.

Yoga is a practice of remaining open and available for our lessons both obvious and subtle, so that we can continue to show up in our lives truthfully. Here is a little bit about my yoga philosophy:

  • Our yoga practice helps us observe habitual patterns of thought and movement that inhibit efficient flow of energy (prana) through the body which contributes to discontent in our lives.
  • The practice of yoga will make you more mindful of what you put in your mental and physical space. The outcome is a more comfortable relationship with your body, your thoughts, and more authentic relationships.
  • The application of practice should be challenging enough to be enchanting, approachable enough to be sustainable, and frequent enough to be auspicious.
  • A consistent personal connection to practice is necessary for the individual to be successful in their practice.
  • A teacher is there as a guide handing down traditions, and offering experience to align and enhance. The student is required to do the work consistently, repeatedly, with the intention of being there.

About your teacher, Lauren Danner
Lauren began practicing yoga in 2000 little did she know at the time that this practice had the power to change her life. In 2007 Lauren completed her first 200 HR YTT and started teaching yoga full-time at Yoga Pearl in Portland, Oregon and at Nike world headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. She fell in love with cross training athletes, teaching yoga in the workplace, finding presence in the practice, and helping others explore their fullest potential. Since these early days, this practice has sunk into her bones, soaked her soul and saturated her life with blessings. Lauren has studied with, trained under and worked alongside brilliant teachers and mentors in multiple areas of yoga. She continues to study, learn and grown in her practice and knowledge and finds this kind of commitment to be essential to living a skillful life.
