Meditation is a tool that allows us to take a mindful pause, observe what’s happening in our minds and bodies, and allow life to unfold in its natural course.
It is a practice of sitting with what is, a practice of presence, and a practice of being instead of doing. Meditation helps you discover your self, to feel all of the feelings of being human and gives you space to process and assimilate the happenings of your life.
It is not about becoming a better person by suppressing the thoughts and feelings that pop up while meditating. You are not trying to control your mind. Instead, meditation helps you become more aware of what's going on inside and out, so that you can respond to situations with clarity and care. It is a practice of befriending your mind.
Settle in, bring your own bolster or blanket if you have one.
